Screen Printing
Screen printing is where Graph-Tex started, and it has never left the building. Art, separations, screens, and press all live on Elm Street, which is why a colour correction on Tuesday morning does not cost a week.

Separations are made here, not bought
Every multi-colour print has to be pulled apart into one screen per colour, and that work decides whether the finished shirt looks sharp or muddy. Graph-Tex separates in-house, off the same art file the design staff built, so nothing is guessed at from a low-resolution logo somebody emailed.
Small runs are not a favour
Plenty of shops price a six-piece order as though it were an inconvenience. A team order, a staff order, a one-tournament shirt — those are the jobs this shop was built on in 1984, and they still run through the same press as the ten-thousand-piece jobs.
The big runs stay on schedule
Volume work is where an in-house department earns its keep. Screens, ink, and press time are scheduled against the delivery date rather than against whatever a subcontractor has open, which is the difference between a tournament that has its shirts and one that does not.

None of it has to be perfect. Half of what comes through the art desk is a photo of an old shirt and a rough count.
